‘Know Your Numbers’ Adult Health Screening

When: Thursday, June 1, 2017

Starting at 8 a.m.

Who: Cranford residents – Men & women

What: Screening includes the CMP (comprehensive metabolic profile blood analysis), blood

pressure checks, information on cholesterol and diet and other health related tips. The

CMP analysis measures total cholesterol, HDL and LDL cholesterol, CBC and other

blood components.

Where: Madison Civic Center

28 Walnut Street, Madison

Registration is required. Call Madison Health Department at 973-593- 3079 ext. 1. Cranford

residents are charged a non-refundable fee of $25.00 for the CMP blood test. Participants should

have their physician’s name, address and telephone number ready when they call.

Men’s Health Screening

When: Monday, June 5, 2017

6 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Who: Cranford adult men

What: Dr. John Dalena will perform testicular, prostate, and colorectal examinations.

Men ages 15-35 are at risk of developing testicular cancer, whereas prostate cancer is

more common in men over 55. Colorectal cancer is most frequently found in men over

the age of 40. Yearly check-ups are recommended for all men. Recent changes to

screening recommendations for men may be discussed with Dr. Dalena in June. There is

no fee for the men’s health check.
