The Westfield Area YMCA is pleased to announce that registration is now open to run, walk or roll, sponsor or volunteer for the 5K Run for Everyone. The event will be held Sunday, September 10 at 10:00AM and supports special needs programs at the Westfield Area YMCA.
While the 5K Run for Everyone has always been a USATF (USA Track & Field) sanctioned event and certified course, this year it has been selected to be a 2017 USATF-NJ New Balance Grand Prix 500-point event. USATF-NJ members should provide their membership number at registration. “It’s an honor to be recognized as a Grand Prix event. It speaks to the success of our event over the years and will be an asset to supporting and growing our programs for individuals with special needs” says Greg Hatzisavvas, Westfield Area YMCA Senior Director of Member and Wellness Engagement.
The start and finish for the 5K Run for Everyone will be the same as in prior years in front of the Main Y Facility at 220 Clark Street. All registrants by 8/20 are guaranteed a race shirt. Awards will be given to overall and age group winners. Participants will have a chance to win major prizes and refreshments will be served. A Family Fun Event will follow the 5K and end at 12:30PM.

Admission is free and all are welcome. The program is sponsored by the Cranford Public Library.
