The mission of the Cranford Recreation & Parks Department is to provide leisure programs and activities for the citizens of Cranford.   • Q. Who is able to use the Community Center?

    A.  Any Cranford resident who can show identification with a Cranford address is welcome to use the facilities, which include the gym, game room and lounge area.

  • Q. When is Open Gym?

    Monday 11:45am - 9:45pm

  • Q. When can I sign up for classes?

    A. Our Fall/Winter/Spring programs, as well as our Summer programs, are included in the Cranford Township News, which is mailed to all Cranford residents  The Fall/Winter/Spring brochure is available in August.  Registration usually begins the second Saturday in September for the Fall programs (Session 1).  The Winter (Session 2) and Spring (Session 3) have their own registrations approximately 3 weeks before the start of the classes. Note: Session 1 students have 1st priority when it comes to enrolling in Session 2 and the same when registering for Session 3. The dates will be posted on the website.
    Our Summer brochure is available in April with registration usually the second week of June.
  • Q. Can I register for programs online?

    A. Online Registrations Available Through Community Pass

    You can now securely register your entire family at one time from the comfort of your home or workplace 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Be sure to create your Community Pass account now by going to . When your account is created, you will receive an email containing your login information. Be sure to keep this email in a safe place so that you can continue to enjoy the convenience of online registration.  After you have created your account, you can use the link above to register for all programs.

    Registration for spring programs is ongoing. You must pay for all program registrations in person and proof of residency is required at the time of payment.

  • Q. How do I reserve a room for a meeting at the Community Center?

    A. You must fill out an application available in our office or online. If approved, you will be notified by phone or mail.

    If you are reserving a room for a Cranford non-profit organization there is no charge for the room.  If the room reservation is for personal use, a business or a non-Cranford resident a room rental charge may apply.

  • Q. What do you have for Senior Citizens?

    A. Senior Citizen programs and clubs are for Cranford residents only and registration is on a first come first served basis.  The programs are listed in our brochure and re-registration begins in September.  Clubs meet on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and are ongoing.  For more information on senior programs, please call Lori at 709-7283.

  • Q. What is Teen Center?

    A. Teen Center is held every Friday night (except in July and August) from 7 to 10 pm at the Community Center.  Only students in 6th, 7th and 8th grade are permitted in the center during those hours. Students can use the gym and game room which has foosball, pool, air hockey and ping pong.  The can also utilize the lounge and atrium for their social needs.
