The Friends of the Cranford Public Library are very pleased to present "Broadway in My Heart," a musical review featuring vocalist Karen Luschar. Karen's background encompasses Broadway, Off-Broadway, national tours, Las Vegas, television, film, commercials, jingles, and even an appearance at the U.S. Capitol. Accompanied by piano, Karen's performance will feature both classic and current favorites from the Great White Way. Admission is free and all are welcome.

The Jardine Academy provides elementary and secondary education for children and young adults ages 3-21 with multiple disabilities. The open house is free and includes a continental breakfast. Topics will include an overview of the multiply disabled population; mobility training; medical concerns; and specialized services such as occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, assistive technology and augmentative technology.

The Westfield Area Y is offering an informative lecture on “How to Advocate for Yourself or a Loved one in the Hospital” on Monday, June 16th from 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm at the Main Y Facility, 220 Clark Street in Westfield.
The lecture is presented by Dr. Peter Pasley, Medical Director of the Saint Barnabas Multi-Specialty Practice in Westfield. Dr. Pasley will discuss issues regarding medical decision making including living wills, advanced directives, health-care proxies, and will also cover medical testing, therapeutics and how one can be an advocate for themselves or loved ones when faced with a difficult decision.
