    It is 1966 in Albacete, Spain. English teacher and die-hard Beatles fan Antonio decides to go on a road trip to Almería in the hope of meeting John Lennon, who is shooting a film there. On the way he picks up two hitch-hikers, Juanjo and Belén. This unlikely trio form a bond and decide to follow their dreams in hopes of finding their freedom.—Rotten Tomatoes. The film was released in 2013 and its running length is 108 minutes. Admission is free and all are welcome. Sponsored by the Friends of the Cranford Public Library.

    This is a week long summer camp for those who wish to learn about 5 different Latin American countries. This camp is like no other, as we explore and learn about traditional cultures, including art, music, food, geographic characteristics and language skills for Spanish speaking countries. Fee includes all camp supplies, mid morning snack and drink and a passport to record “travel”. The camp is held at Cranford Community Center, 220 Walnut Ave, Cranford, NJ and is offered as follows: Ages: 4-8 Mon-Friday August 17-21 Time: 9:00am-11:00am. The cost is $130.     The Thursday Night Gamer’s Club, a service of the Cranford Recreation Department, is open to all Cranford Residents. Children younger than 11 must be accompanied by an adult. Every Thursday, the club enjoys classics games such as “Scattegories”, “Cribbage”, and “Risk”, as well as contemporary games like “7 Wonders”, “Magic: The Gathering”, and “Mice and Mystics”. TNGC meets at the Cranford Community Center at 220 Walnut Avenue from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm, with some extra time to wrap up games in progress. Admission is free, but bringing a game to share with the club is highly encouraged.
