Bus Stop stars Marilyn Monroe as the kind of woman who can't understand why she always brings out the worst in men. Monroe portrays Cherie, a fifth-rate nightclub chanteuse who has attracted the attention of Bo, a young rodeo rider (Don Murray). He is besotted with her, and decides to kidnap her – eventually bundling her off to the roadside bus stop of the title. Gradually, the headstrong Bo learns that you can't rope a gal the same way you lasso a steer. Love takes its lumps but comes out slugging in the end, with Marilyn at her vulnerable, jaded best.—All Rovi
