In 1985, Cranford established the first Special Improvement District (SID) in New Jersey to promote economic growth, the business and employment in the downtown business district.  The goal remains the same 25 years later: encourage investments and new business owners through sound planning, marketing and maintenance. 

The Township Committee approved expansion of the SID to include businesses and professional offices on South Avenue West and a portion of North Avenue West.

We are pleased these fine businesses are part of the Cranford downtown business community.
