April is designated “Adult Learn-To-Swim Month” by the Swimming Saves Lives Foundation, the charitable arm of U. S. Masters Swimming. The Cranford Pool & Fitness Center and Cranford Masters Swimming are supporting this event by offering two Adult Learn-To-Swim Fests. The first is on Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, and the second is on Sunday, April 23 also from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Both sessions are on a drop-in basis. The events are free to anyone 18 and over who wants to learn to swim, or to swim better. Customized instruction will be conducted by certified adult instructors. Or maybe you want to get more out of your laps or improve your technique. Are you thinking about trying a triathlon or an open-water swim? Cranford Masters members and coaches will be on hand to help you through a basic workout.
The Cranford Indoor Pool is located at 401 Centennial Ave., in Cranford, NJ. The facility also conducts adult swim lessons regularly on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 8:30pm for members and non-members. Drop-ins are welcome. Call the pool at 908-709-7260 ext. 2300 to register. Or dial ext. 2307 for Sally, for information on Masters swimming or the Fest. Be sure to bring a friend or a family member for a fun and informative evening. Pre-registration is helpful but not required.
Trinity is collecting money now through April 2 for the Episcopal Relief & Development “Clean Water” program that constructs wells, waters systems, and stations that both reduce the spread of disease while promoting overall community health, well-being, and economic viability for those in need worldwide.
